October's Marginalia: Life

Hi. It has been a while.
I only write when I'm feeling creative + have the motivation to write.
Both, came knocking the door today so here I am.

Today, I'm writing about *drum rolls* LIFE!
Yeah BOOHOO, such a boring topic. But I am itching to share it no matter what the audience readers think so.... yeah.

1.1 Being Human
image is by rialexis.deviantart.com
You're human. Human, as we know, are good companions to other humans. Humans, are humane (?). They are not perfect. I admit, some people might be angelic, holy, pious, generous, kind, intelligent, beautiful, selfless, successful but none are FLAWLESS. No matter how perfect they appear to be, they have flaws too (those celebrities you admire, they are not perfect. They fart and poop defecate too!) NOBODY can escape that NOBODY-IS-PERFECT and EVERYBODY-MAKES-MISTAKES motto. You can't, and I can't too.

So, I thought I'd conshare (confess+share. it's not a real word so don't use it in your officially-marked-by-the-teachers essays). There are several points in my past that I consider as flaws/flawed and now my mature (?) self automatically repents whenever the flashbacks haunt. If I could go back in time, I would slap myself. Hundreds of times. with a chair. Or, just, undo and nullify every mistake I made (what's the point of going back in time, really, if you couldn't do that?). And I would apologise, hundreds of times so that we'd be even and the guilt I feel would disappear willingly. However some of them made me into the person I am today. The mistakes we made are not solely mistakes; they are guidance. However it would be completely useless if we never learn from em'. So, I've learnt my lesson. Have you?

1.2 Dreams vs Reality
So you'd think your dreams are counterproductive, useless, worthless, uninspiring, unrewarding, and impossible to achieve. Don't worry, dreams are dreams. It won't hurt you (yet). That's why it's okay to DREAM BIG *enter angelic chorus* especially if it's related to your passion. The more the merrier! If you can't achieve one dream you can strive for the other!

September's Marginalia (Oh finally an update!): A confession of a shopaholic - How to be a Shopaholic when you are BROKE

Well well. We meet again, empty white blog post box that needs to be filled with writings after being abandoned for a few months. I am sorry, and I admit that it is hard for me to keep things going. I think I have commitment issues. Err, no, I will be a good wife (wait, what?) if God wills it. This is about something else okay! I think my commitment, on posting blogs or updating stuff or  keeping the 'insides' of my wardrobe tidy and not out of place or keeping my study table presentable for more than a week or updating the lives of my OCs (original characters, in case you don't understand artist/otaku's term), anything that needs updating without any super important purposes, is terrible and always wavery. I think motivation is the main issue here as well. I'm not committed because I'm not motivated. No motivation, no action, which is baaaaad. Only recently I gained unknown drive to post something and voila! This post was born! Oh, I'm moving away from the main focus of the day (I have trouble getting straight to the point as well....)

Okay!

*coughs*

Let's talk about "How to be a Shopaholic when you are BROKE"

......I think I'll be right back. I need to get a shower. Sweating like a pig here....

March's Marginalia: Random Literature

That Light

When you thought that everything was over for you….
When you thought that everything was meaningless…
When you thought that nothing could change you….
Suddenly there was a speck of light shining upon your despair.
It slowly, very slowly, lured you towards it…
The despair and despondency you had accumulated all these years…
Slowly disappeared…
You soon began to live.
But the light faded.

That light. It was not yours but…
Would you let it go?

When that inspiration rushed into my veins, I created this. That inspiration came from Acid Black Cherry - Yes.

Watching the PV and reading the translation of the lyric made me so emotional. LOLOL The chemistry between the super egoistic and cold guy (who doesn't want to admit his love) and a bright cute loving child is cute!!! I find it amusing and exhilarating. I assume the love expressed in the lyric is much more universal than the one in the PV. The lyric could cover all sorts of love. The love in the PV on the contrary is portrayed to be merely platonic, familial or parental love kinda thing. Nonetheless, the poem above was born!

Ok I missed February's and January's marginalia. I've written one for February BUT, I haven't finished it. Not yet.

Sincerely yours,
Pinku no Ichigo Yuki (Rai)
